The National Catholic Forensic League is a nationwide
organization of public and private schools which presently
has leagues in 35 states and the District of Columbia.
These leagues are organized geographically along the
diocesan lines of the Catholic Church. In order to be
eligible to enter the Grand National Tournament, a school
must belong to one of these leagues. It is possible for
schools in a region to form a new league if one does not
already exist nearby.
In addition to setting the standards for how students
locally qualify for the Grand National Tournament, leagues
have varying opportunities for ongoing tournaments and
coach mentorship.
